The results of our audit determined that the Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (DA&CS) Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LP-Gas) Section took appropriate corrective action to address recommendations made in the December 2011 investigative report including the implementation of a violation tracking system. However, the system's performance can be further improved. Our audit also identified opportunities to improve monitoring of LP-Gas inspections and defining criteria for penalty reductions. DA&CS agreed with our findings and recommendations. Details about each item are provided in the Audit Findings, Recommendations, and Responses section of the report.
