We found that some $85,760 of heating, ventilation and air conditioning work and equipment in various Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) buildings across the state could have been done using existing maintenance mechanics on staff with the department. Also, the investigation revealed that the Department of Transportation spent $10,203 to produce a four-minute video on the need for a new DMV headquarters building, but the video was never used for the intended purpose.
