Investigators discovered that a Marine Technology Instructor inappropriately gave a student a boat motor owned by Cape Fear Community College. As a result, the College was unable to use the motor for its intended purpose for the two years that the motor was in the student's possession. In addition, the Instructor falsified annual inventory records by indicating that the motor remained on the College's campus when it was in the possession of the student.
