Our audit identified matters that are considered reportable under Government Auditing Standards and Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance).

The Department did not fully comply with Federal requirements related to multiple programs; including, the Promoting Safe and Stable Families program, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, the Social Services Block Grant, the State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis program, the Block Grants for Prevention and Treatment of Substance Abuse, and the Medicaid Cluster. Instances of noncompliance and deficiencies related to eligibility determinations, beneficiary claim payments, Federal reporting, monitoring of subrecipients and contractors, and communication to subrecipients.
