The results of our audit disclosed deficiencies in internal control and/or instances of noncompliance or other matters that are considered reportable under Government Auditing Standards. Specifically, the Department of Labor (DOL) Elevator and Amusement Device Bureau, Wage and Hour Bureau and Budget Office should better enforce violations of applicable statutes and regulations and track and collect penalties assessed. DOL agreed with our findings and recommendations. Details about each item are provided in the Audit Findings and Recommendations section of the report.
