As directed by the General Assembly, the purpose of this audit was to determine whether the Community Care of North Carolina model saves money and improves health outcomes. The researcher's analysis suggests that the Community Care of North Carolina managed care program saved money and improved some health outcomes among non-elderly, non-dual Medicaid beneficiaries.
