The results of our audit disclosed items that are considered reportable under Government Auditing Standards. Specifically, the Department of Health and Human Service's Business Enterprise Program (BEP or Program) did not have goals and measures to determine whether it was meeting the vocational needs of the legally blind. Furthermore, ineffective oversight of the Program increased the risk of facility mismanagement. The Department Health and Human Services generally agreed with our findings and recommendations.
