The lack of supervision provided the former President of the Medical Foundation a virtual free hand in conducting the affairs of the foundation. In addition to the transactions directly attributable to him, the foundation itself lost approximately $235,000 by not acting expeditiously to purchase another parcel of property. There was yet another land transaction with the foundation which involved a parcel which produced a same day profit of over $384,037 for a business partner of the former president of the foundation.
