The results of our investigation found that the Town Council awarded a contract to the highest bidder for its street light fixture project resulting in the Town overpaying by as much as $25,749. In addition, the former Town Mayor Pro Tem incurred $11,671 in questionable expenses, and did not forfeit his office after pleading guilty to an assault charge.
