This audit found that some low-income families did not receive Extra Credit Grant Program payments from the State. These families did not receive the payments because of the additional steps the Department of Revenue needed to take in order to award payments to low-income families in a short timeframe. These steps included, (1) creating an application, (2) providing outreach, and (3) processing applications. Details about each item are provided in the Finding, Recommendation, and Response section of the report. The Department of Revenue agreed with the results of the audit.
