The audit found that the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (Board) took appropriate corrective action to address recommendations made in an October 2013 financial related audit report. The recommendations included developing an inspection plan, creating tracking reports for monitoring inspection activity, and seeking additional staff. However, the audit also found that there was inaccurate and incomplete data within the Board's inspection database. Inaccurate and incomplete data increases the risk of late or missed inspections.
