Our audit identified a matter that is considered reportable under Government Auditing Standards and Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). The North Carolina Pandemic Recovery Office (NCPRO), a division of the Office of State Budget and Management, did not adequately monitor $2.92 billion in federal funds used for expenditures incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
