We are pleased to submit this performance audit of the Department of Transportation, Technology Systems. This audit resulted from a request by the North Carolina legislative leadership. The main objectives of the audit were: to ensure that adequate control measures are defined, implemented, and monitored; that the business requirements for information are met; and to review the Departmental use of information system contractors and communication systems.
