Ever wondered how laws and policies shape the way government serves the public?
Are you interested in learning how a General Counsel supports a government agency?
The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor seeks an inquisitive and committed law student to serve as a Legal Intern in our Legal Affairs Division. Through this internship you will gain practical experience and insight into the role of an attorney in a state government agency.
During this internship you will review documentation for quality assurance, draft legal memorandums, and assist in legal research. Legal interns may also have the opportunity to attend and observe court proceedings.
Qualifications
- Rising second year or third year law student with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient use of LexisNexis and/or Westlaw
- While not required, law review or journal experience is considered a plus
Program Details
- Competitive hourly rate
- Supervised performance of work on a variety of legal projects
- Internship will be hosted in the Raleigh office
